China
is “the Country of cyclists”. During the last decades, the
bicycle was the most commonly used means of transportation
in China. One can still see thousands of cyclists in the
big cities, even though more and more people use cars and
motorbikes today. In order to show you a real China on the
bicycle, we have chosen five popular destinations for you:
Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin, Yangshuo and Hangzhou. The best
period for a bicycle tour in South China is from June to
the end of November, since there may be rainstorms in the
other months of the year.
