M. S. Pinghu 2000 distinguished itself from other Yangtze River ships by its design and shape. Its hull is made of
closed glass curtain wall, which gives her a highly faired style, which only the luxurious ocean liners possess.
The US-made glass curtain walls, which have a green coating, continuously reflect the beautiful scenery on both sides
of the Yangtze River. When the scenery changes, the reflection on the hull changes at the same time. Just imagine that
green mountains, blue water, small bridges and villages on the bank all merged on a shiny, floating luxury resort.
In fact, the ship is now a sight to be seen on the Yangtze River.
Built in 1993 and last furbished in 1996, this four-deck vessel is 91.3 meters long, 16.4 meters wide, with a
gross tonnage of 5191 and a draft of 2.6 meters. One thing worth of mentioning is that cabins on MS. Pinghu 2000 are
considerably larger than same cabins on other Yangtze cruise ships. The size of a standard room is more than 19 square
meters, compared with 10 to 16 square meters on other ships. The ic and aristocratic interior was designed with the
consultations of some top western designers. The floors of public rooms and private cabins are carpeted with handmade
pure wool. Well-equipped business center is made of marbles, coopers and Thai woods. All the sanitary equipment is made
in Italy. The multifunctional entertainment hall, which can be divided into several sections, covers an area of 1200
square meters and can hold 500 guests.
Service on MS. Pinghu 2000 is managed by a well-known international hotel management corporation. Comprehensive
service facilities include shops, business center, IDD telephone booth, hair and beauty salon, health center, recreation
center, Karaoke room, coffee shop, sauna and massage, dining hall that serves both Chinese and Western food on the
Sundeck. The ship also boasts a small orchestra of foreign musicians.
